What our journal is, what our free tools are, what they are not, and what to trust above either when the answer matters.

last updated: 9 May 2026

This page sets out what our published content and tools are, and what they are not. Detailed contractual disclaimers covering paid client engagements live in our Terms of Service and in the executed Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work for each engagement. The disclaimers on this page apply to the public-facing journal, the free tools, the comparison and review pages, and any guidance you read on this site without a signed engagement.

Editorial disclaimer

The articles at /journal/ are written by our team and represent our professional opinion at the time of publication. We update articles when our view changes or when the underlying facts change; the date stamp at the bottom of each article reflects the most recent revision. Where an article makes a numerical claim, we cite a primary source. Where it makes a judgment call, we say "our view is" and you should treat it as such.

Articles in the journal are informational. They are not legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, accounting advice, regulatory advice, medical advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, product, or service. They reflect a generalized view of the topic and do not account for the specifics of your business, jurisdiction, or risk tolerance. If a decision based on something you read here would meaningfully affect your business, finances, or legal exposure, take the article as a starting point and consult a qualified professional in the relevant discipline before acting.

Comparison and review articles (Shopify versus another platform, app versus app, framework versus framework) are written from the perspective of an agency that has implemented the named products in real production environments. Our preferences come from operational experience, not from vendor relationships. We have no exclusive partnerships that would bias a comparison toward one product, and where any potential conflict exists we disclose it in the article itself.

Free-tool disclaimer

The utilities at /tools/ are provided as-is and as-available. We have built each tool against the relevant public specifications (schema.org type definitions, Google Search Central required-field documentation, the UTM parameter specification, RFC 9309 for robots.txt, the OpenGraph protocol, the W3C HTML and ARIA specifications, ISO standards for date and currency formatting), and we have tested each output against authoritative validators. Despite that, no tool is a substitute for the source-of-truth artifact in a regulated decision.

Specifically: the Schema Markup Generator does not replace Google's Rich Results Test as the final arbiter of whether structured data will trigger a rich result; the Robots.txt Generator does not replace your hosting provider's robots-handling configuration; any speed-test tool that wraps Google PageSpeed Insights inherits whatever rate limits and accuracy bounds Google enforces on that API; any DNS-related tool reflects the resolver hop it queries (Cloudflare DoH for our DNS tools), not your own ISP's resolver. The tool's on-page documentation is the canonical statement of its limits; this page is a backstop.

Do not rely on any tool output for legal, tax, medical, regulatory, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent professional verification. Where a tool result conflicts with a primary source (Google's own dashboard, your hosting provider's metrics, the certificate authority's records, the regulator's documentation), trust the primary source.

Forecasts and case-study results

Case studies and archetype patterns published on this site describe outcomes we have shipped or observed across multiple engagements. They are presented for illustrative purposes. Past performance, whether ours or a client's, does not guarantee future results. Specific revenue figures, growth multiples, retention curves, and time-to-launch numbers are tied to the business context they describe; replicating the inputs does not guarantee the outputs because every business has different starting points, market dynamics, team capacity, and luck.

Where a case study is named (Emani, Big Game Sports, Noble Paris, and any other named client), the figures and qualitative claims are reviewed against records we hold from the engagement. Where a case study is described as an industry archetype, it is a composite of patterns observed across multiple clients in that vertical, with the brand name and identifying details deliberately illustrative. Each archetype carries a visible disclosure to that effect at the top of the page.

Affiliate and sponsored content

We do not currently run an affiliate program, an affiliate-link program, or any sponsored content on this website. We do not earn a commission when you click a link to Shopify, Klaviyo, Recharge, or any other third-party tool we mention. The recommendations are based on our operating experience, full stop.

If that ever changes, we will (a) update this page first, (b) place a clear "this article includes affiliate links" disclosure at the top of any article that carries one, in compliance with the FTC Endorsement Guides 16 CFR Part 255, the UK CAP Code Section 3, the Indian ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising, and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions where we operate.

We are an officially recognized partner of Shopify (Shopify Plus Partner) and use that partnership for technical privileges (early API access, partner-tier support, sandbox stores). Being a partner does not mean we are paid by Shopify to recommend it. When we recommend Shopify in an article, it is because we have measured Shopify against the alternatives for the specific problem the client is solving. When the right answer is a non-Shopify platform, the article says so.

Third-party links and trademarks

Outbound links to third-party sites are provided as references to authoritative sources. We do not control the content of those sites, their availability, their privacy practices, or their terms of service. A link from our site is not an endorsement of everything that third party publishes, and clicking through a link means you proceed under that third party's terms and at your own risk.

Third-party trademarks (Shopify, Klaviyo, Recharge, Stripe, Razorpay, Google, Meta, and every other named brand) are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance here is descriptive (we are referring to the actual product or company) and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement beyond what is explicitly stated on the page.

Limitation of liability

Subject to the more detailed limitation-of-liability clause in our Terms of Service, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of revenue, profit, data, or business opportunity arising from your use of the public website, the journal, the free tools, or any pre-engagement contact, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. Where applicable consumer-protection law (UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, EU Unfair Contract Terms Directive, India Consumer Protection Act 2019, equivalent statutes elsewhere) imposes mandatory rights that cannot be excluded, those rights apply notwithstanding this clause.
